The main tool used to construct our advert was Adobe Photoshop. Before we could create the finished piece we first had to produce the puzzle pieces, which we was able to do beforehand by organizing a photo shoot session with all the band members in the music video. Based on our research on the Dijipak and Advert we decided to take images similar to those found on other rebellious themed adverts.
The image below is our finished Advert.
We began our advert using a simple Matt Black as our base color.
In an attempt to relate our advert to our music video, we decided to add the letter as a constant reappearing theme. In turn, 50% of the Advert's background ended up looking like the mysterious letter within the music video.
After that, I created abstract triangular shapes where the images we took could be placed. whilst also adding, hue and saturation effects as well as level alterations to help enhance and emphasis our rebellious theme.
In order to complete our advert I had to place the last piece of the jigsaw puzzle, this was in fact the text and icons which most all adverts possess displaying their album, where its available and how well it is rated in terms of 5 stars. This was possible thanks to www.dafont.com which provided us with a large selections of fonts that could help relate with our music video and our rebellious theme.
In conclusion, this was how our advert was constructed.
